I’m an Apple geek! I’ve been using Apple products for the past three years, and somehow I am and not satisfied with the development of some of its services/products. Still, I use them because of how seamlessly they integrate together.

However, recently I decided to LET GO one of the FIRST Apple services I purchased, “Apple Music”.

I mean as a music application, you’d expect a lot more from Apple after developing “revolutionary” devices like the iPod and the iPhone which one their main features according to Steve Jobs is PLAYING MUSIC.

But what was wrong with Apple Music? Why did I HAVE to make the shift? Well, just because someone was doing a better job, it’s Anghami.

I’m gonna start with the main reasons why I started HATING Apple Music:

  1. You can’t misspell any word in search! You’ll never find what you’re looking for.
  2. Streaming music means waiting 20-30 sec for the song to load.
  3. The coolest R&B and rap songs are all in the clean versions, EVEN THOUGH I have access to explicit music.
  4. The “Best of” playlists are NOT the “Best”.
  5. Arabic music is a vast minority of Apple Music.
  6. A bunch of cool songs on Youtube can’t be found on Apple Music.

And these are only the points that come to mind.

To be honest, I thought I was stuck with this. If I ever wanted to listen to music I have to go through the agony listed above! Until I heard about Anghami. 🙂

In my opinion, this music application has defeated Apple Music in so many ways! It fixed all the points listed above and more. Here’s what pulled me to it most:

  1. As a non-Apple application, the app is available for Macs and iPhones.
  2. You can shift between international and Arabic Music.
  3. You SEAMLESSLY have access to a huge library of explicit music.
  4. The playlists are amazing, you’ll get introduced to some fantastic new jams.
  5. The “Play, Pause, Next & Previous” buttons on the Mac work with Anghami. 🙂
  6. Music loads so FAST.

For me, Anghami definitely defeated Apple Music and is reaching new heights in this industry. Honestly, I’m just glad I’m listening to the music I want. 🙂
