In a challenging world, with hard times always coming around, you need to start enjoying these hard times to live a healthy life. It’s typically enjoying the challenges that life throws at you, and if you’re an entrepreneur or a growth hacker like I am, trust me, you’re gonna get a lot of these challenges.
To overcome this considerable number of challenges, I try to simplify things as much as possible. This is where this blog is coming from. I’m going to break down the process of coming up with a growth hacking campaign for a startup business.
Ready? Let’s GO!
1- Define yourself / Who Are YOU?
So most of you might find this part very silly and unuseful. But to be honest, it happened to me a couple of times when I am brainstorming ideas and techniques; these ideas fade away to feed another complementary solution to what I’m working on. This is clearly what we do NOT want to happen.
So it helps a lot if you clearly write down your value proposition in large writing upfront. Trust me on this 🙂
2- To whom are you doing this dude?
You must have heard the terms “Target Market”, “Audience”, “Persona”, “Potential Customers” and more. Over the past decade+, a lot of new terms came up to describe the people to whom we are doing the service/product too.
When thinking of growth hacking techniques, you have to think like a child. Why? Because you need a child’s creativity! So go back to the 7th grade, forget all these sophisticated terms and think clearly: “Who is facing this problem today, and is open to using my service/product to overcome this problem?” Again, write the answer down 🙂
3- Imagine yourself living a week in this person’s shoes
It’s time to get your Peter Pan shoes on, actually its time to get your customer’s shoes on. 🙂
Putting yourself in your customer’s shoes, trying to live his/her everyday life will make you understand exactly how he needs your product or service to be, even more important, you’ll get to know when he needs it the “MOST”.
4- Here’s when creativity and innovation comes into play
Remember that “MOST” moment? This is where creativity comes in. You need to figure out cool & friendly approaches to be there when your “customer” needs you. And think outside the box for a change. Don’t limit yourself to Facebook and Instagram. It’s all about creativity and innovation.
**Tip: Think like a child 🙂
5- TEST VS. ADJUST
It’s time to find the perfect mix, and you can never see it until you test multiple variables to achieve that perfection. I mean very, straight-forward tests testing one variable at a time within the approach you came up with. 🙂
That’s it for me today. Ready? Set? GROWTH HACK!
With love
